Group sessions
Social skills
Service Description
All groups are pre-arranged for participants working on similar skills. We provide small groups of 2-5. Groups from other services are welcome to use our amazing space with programs created to suit the needs of the participants visiting. Our social skills programs are tailored to suit the needs and goals of each individual participant. Sessions focus on developing skills such as emotional regulation, following instructions, sharing, turn taking, compromising and cooperative play using the animals on the farm to enhance these skills. School readiness – In order to thrive school children must be developing all of these social skills to take in academic information. These will be developed along with academic skills at their level such as writing their name, counting and alphabet. Education tutoring groups - Is your child not engaged at school, falling behind or lacking confidence? Working in line with the Victorian Curriculum participants will focus on areas they need to improve whether that is in reading, maths or other subject areas. Groups will be made for students of a certain age/level. Working outdoors, on the move and with the animals I believe is the key to the way some students learn best! To book a group session you need to be a participant of Grandview Haven or email us directly to work out which groups and activities suit your child's needs. We can alter times and costs to suit individuals that need shorter times etc. We aim to accommodate participants needs where possible.
