Animal Assisted Therapy and Learning
Animals have the power to help a wide variety of people improve their lives by helping them feel relaxed, gain confidence, improve communication skills, increase exercise, gross motor development and to feel at ease to learn new skills.
Our sessions/programs are all individualised to suit the needs of each client.
Sessions can include outdoor play based
learning and education tutoring.

Groups
Social skills can come easily to some people but others need a little more guidance and practice.
These skills can include emotional regulation, social cues, following instructions, communicating their needs, problem solving and turn taking.
Confidence building - completing farm jobs and having responsibilities to look and care for the animals can build an enormous amount of self belief and confidence in everyone. Team work activities are all based around the animals and nature.
All groups are pre-arranged for participants working on similar skills.
Groups will be small with 2-5 clients.

Grandview Haven is a beautiful facility that can facilitate and run programs for groups from other services.
We accept disability groups who use NDIS funding.
These programs will include animal feeding, animal care, gardening, farm jobs, craft activities, outdoor games and much more.
We do not have capacity for large buses but cars, vans and mini buses are ok.
